The condition of used records and used clothing sold in our store are graded based on the following guide and described in the item descriptions.
Please be sure to check them before purchasing.
<Grading & Condition Guide for Vinyl>
MINT(M): Perfect condition, either unplayed or still sealed. *Exceptionally, records are shipped in the cover. |
Near Mint (NM or M-): Records are shiny, with no visible defects. If played, it will do so with no surface noise. Covers are free of creases, ring wear and seam splits of any kind. |
VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+): Generally worth 50% of the Near Mint value. VG+ records show some signs of wear, including light scuffs or light scratches or slight warping that do not significantly affect the listening experience. VG+ covers have minor wear or some minor seam wear (or a split). Also, a VG+ cover may have some defacing, such as a cut-out marking. *Due to the wide range applicability of VG+, further detailed grading is noted in "COMMENTS" as follows. EX > EX- > VG+ EX is valued between NM and VG+. |
VERY GOOD (VG): Generally worth 25% of Near Mint value. Many of the defects found in a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG disk. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. VG covers will have many signs of human handling. As defects such as ring wear and seam splits can be noticeable, so be sure to read the detailed description in "COMMENTS". |
Good (G), Good Plus (G+): Generally worth 10-15% of the Near Mint value. Please be sure to check the "COMMENTS" notation for serious defects. |
